Panic Attacks
A panic attack is a sudden feeling of fear that is so intense most people feel like they are having a heart attack or a nervous breakdown. The feeling is so intense and frightening that some people are afraid to ever be alone or not around medical personnel after the attack.
Panic attacks are onset by a too much stress. If a person is working two jobs and raising a family and drinking lots of caffeine to compensate for lack of sleep, they are a good candidate to get a panic attack. Basically, any person that excessively worries about things working out can get a panic attack.
To understand panic attack, think about being in nature. A hungry lion is going to eat you. Your body kicks in the adrenaline to increase heart rate, send sugar to the muscles to run, and to get you breathing quickly to get more oxygen. If the body feels enough fear to kick in adrenaline, then the hear will increase, the breathing will increase, and the sugar will go to the muscles and less to the brain. The result is that the person feels like they are falling apart because they are usually just sitting there.
